April 16, 23, 30 Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden takes on a whole new feeling at night. For the month of April, Thursdays are Nature Nights. Enjoy guided nature walks from local experts about insects, owls and unique night blooming plants. The Evening Walking Tours will showcase all the intoxicating fragrances at the garden and features a Starlight Tram Tour. All these events are happening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission on these special nights is $15 for adults and $8 for children 6 to 17 years of age. take place Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. April 17 The Coral Gables Chamber Symphony & Opera presents a free Youth Virtuosi Concert. The American Ideal Concert showcases the brightest stars of the classical music world under one roof. April 17 The Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Parents Night Out. Leave your children at the War Memorial Youth Center where they will enjoy a sleep-over party with special activities. Guests will be given snacks and breakfast the next morning. Drop off your child at 7 p.m. and pick them up no later than 9 a.m. the next morning. April 18 – May 17 The GableStage enlightens guests with the theatrical performance of No Child by Nilaja Sun. The play sheds light on the struggles and miracles of America’s public schools. Performances take place Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. GableStage is located at 1200 Anastasia Avenue at the Biltmore Hotel. Tickets range from $37.50 to $42.50. The theme of this meeting is Building History: Making Memories. The public is invited to attend at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Christian Church, 222 Menores Avenue.
